"When there Life, there Hope!"

I'll enjoy my sparkling summer in Vietnam. There are two favorite places at South of Vietnam I usually go there; U see my cover photo.. That's DaLat city, people call "The city of Love". The city is located 1,500 m (4,900 ft) above sea level, so temperatures are pleasantly warm by day, and quite cool at night, down to perhaps 13 degrees Celsius. Moreover, DaLat's architecture is surrounding by old, lovely French villas because French were built it as a health resort town during French colonial period; so the city is quite old, green and romantic. That's a reason I am addicted this place. Another place is Vung Tau Beach, it looks like any beaches in America. I will enjoy seafood and beach activities there. Can't wait for the summer is coming soon :)
"When there Life, there Hope!"... Life is full of ups and downs. Every time I encounter the failure or disappointment . I keep reminding myself; as if I don't give up, I still have chance to change the situation, and I Do.

Paraphrase the topic "What will air travel look like in the year 2050?"

Have you imagined how Star Trek become reality? It is fantastic. Airbus nearly disclosed their new thinking to make a revolution for the aviation industry approximately in the next 50 years. On board, passengers would allow to enjoy the sky and stars without moving anywhere on the airplanes through glassy ceiling. Moreover, if something happens on the airplane about electric or mechanical problem, it will be fixed right away. For customer's enjoyment, in their own cabin, they may enjoying their sports which they prefer, for example, playing goft, enjoying the club's atmosphere at their own space just by pressing a remote control. In the other hand, customer may have the meeting at any time on board, also just by a clicking. That's an amazing!

My Spring Break

It was nothing special for this spring break. I went to Las Vegas with my family for three days, and this was second time there. Remembered, the first time i have been to LasVegas two years ago, i was so interested; just like the whole world gathered in this city. Absolutely, it was a city of light and city of sins as it has been called.
The rest of my spring break, I spent to reading, watching drama, and hanging out with friends somehow. What I recognize about American is that... they are really enjoy outdoor activities, especially beach activities such as playing volley ball, riding bicycles, swimming and so on. Above all, the most favorite thing was seeing a lot kind of dogs out there. I love baby and dog. Both of them can bring me true love, true smile <3

My Dream Job

I love Hospitality field and everything belongs to it as Hotel and Tourism. I almost spent two years studying tour guide, three and half year for Hotel and Tourism Management. As a part of tour guide, I was traveling a lot to please myself more than tourist :) . Meanwhile, I worked at Food and Beverage department in Hilton Singapore and at Front Office department at Park Hyatt Saigon. It also pleased myself because whenever guests are happy and please with my service, I am happy too :)
Some people may think it is a low job, just a server. Why don't I think something big as the boss or CEO of any company? Is it any business opens to serve customer, no matter how high position you are, you still serve customer. Even though, I am a General Manager of a famous hotel, when everyone gets into the elevator, I am still the one who press the button for each of our guest.
One kind of Hospitality that I am going to study is Wedding Planner. It is a wonderful job, and once again, to see a new couple is happy, I am happy too. Okie, this is my big dream job. I am going to do the full package for a couple. I will plan a wonderful wedding night for guest, give them a one  sweet night free to stay in My Hotel, of course at fabulous destination for honeymoon and tourist either, and discount as if they book any tour of My Travel Company with tour guide, food, accommodation included. I know it is a very big dream, so it needs Time, Knowledge and Capital, but "dream costs nothing"...so just keep dreaming. It'll become reality one day, who knows ;)

My Favourite Quotes

"Give a girl the right shoes, and she can conquer the world." said Marilyn Monroe.

"People may hate you for being different and not living by society's standards, but deep down, they wish they had the courage to do the same."

Travel

I'm strongly agree with Mark Twain "Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindlessness." Why people do love traveling; in visible side, it's completely satisfy human curiousness. They want to see, look, taste and experience diverse things that they never know or think before; and even lucky they find the new land as Christopher Columbus. In invisible side, people learn from it and fight for their rights. For example, people against racial discrimination in every country; and women talk more about women's rights nowadays. Because you do not go, do not see so you do not fight. Old generation lose the chance to fight for their freedom out of prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindlessness because they have little chance to travel and see what they deserve to have.

St. Augustine said, "The world is a book, and those who not travel read only one page." Thus, I am so grateful to be born in modem time, when the war has already stopped. I have more chance to travel and study around Asia, Europe, America so I am asking for equal rights between men and women. Even though, I still see and hear unfair things in some country, yet I understand which culture has their own rule, own trait. That make life more colorful to discover, yet the only one thing is people there dare to fight or accept.

Advanced Composition's Blog

Hi, everyone. My name is Kathy. I have been in America for five months. It is hard to live in new culture, adapt so many new things, even the thing that was not familiar with Asian culture such as sending your parents to Nursing home because you have no time to take care of them when they getting old. Except sending parents to nursing home, the others stuff I will try to adapt such as driving, speaking English each day, joining some clubs at CSUF, and so on.

I graduated BA in Hospitality and Tourism Management in Singapore. Then, I worked six months at Hilton Singapore at Banquet department. After that, I went back Vietnam and worked at Park Hyatt Saigon as receptionist at Front Office department. I loved Hospitality but it quite hard to find MBA about my major in the United State, so I am quite confuse, am I continue with MBA or choose another major? I do love children and dog, so I am thinking to learn something related to those. I appreciate as if you give me some advice. The last thing i would say: Nice to meet you all, my friends.
